Babak Hamidi, GFWA’s marketing manager, has shared some of his vast experience is ground improvement by presenting a paper titled “Lessons Learned from Millions of Square Metres of Ground Improvement” at the International Symposium on Ground Improvement (IS-GI 2012) that was held from 30 May to 1 June in Brussels, Belgium. This paper was co-authored by Serge Varaksin, from Menard who is the chairman of ISSMGE TC211 and co-chairman of the Symposium.

Other speakers of the Soletanche Freyssinet group in the Symposium were Johannes Kirstein (Dyniv, Germany), Frederic Masse (Menard USA), John Sankey (Reinforced Earth, USA), Serge Borel (Soletanche Bachy, France), and Fabrice Mathieu (Soletanche Bachy, France).
