Perth’s leading consultants visit Raine Square Tunnel Project

On 15 and 16 November 2010, the construction of diaphragm walls and execution of jet grouting works at Raine Square Tunnel Project was visited by 60 persons from Perth’s leading geotechnical or specialists consultants, namely Advanced Geomechanics, Aecom, Arup, Aurecon, Douglas Partners, Coffey Geotechnics, Hatch, Galt, GHD, Golder, SKM, URS, and Worley Parsons. Also present were engineers from Water Corporation. Gary Webley and Murray Yates respectively explained the technologies behind diaphragm walls and jet grouting and how these methods were applied to the project. This site visit has also been reported in Engineer’s Australia Dec 2010 issue.

Raine Square Tunnel is the first project in Western Australia where both diaphragm walls and jet grouting have been used.
